Betsy Melamed is excited to be part of an organization that works to build a Jewish and democratic society in Israel through education and civic activism. Having worked in Israel–Diaspora relations for over twenty years, Betsy has extensive international fundraising and consulting experience, with a focus on the development of educational institutions and leadership programs. She advances the mission of HaMidrasha by forging partnerships with individuals, foundations, and federations with shared values and a common vision for Israeli society. Betsy is a longtime community activist, sports enthusiast and trainer. She is a long distance runner and has a second-degree black belt in Shotokan karate.
